Japan, I can tell you, having traveled there myself in October last year, that this month is one of the best for exploring the country. <a href=\"https:\/\/matthmaexperience.com\/en\/?page_id=3750\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">You can find an account of my personal experience here<\/a>, but in the meantime I offer a guide to what to see in autumn. October offers temperate weather that is ideal for getting around, and the tourist crowds are still not as large as in November, when they arrive in droves to admire the <b>foliage<\/b>; <a href=\"https:\/\/matthmaexperience.com\/en\/senza-categoria\/the-charm-of-koyo-the-magic-of-autumn-foliage-in-japan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">you can read the dedicated article here<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In addition, this is the time when many festivals dedicated to autumn are held in Japan, <a title=\"Kichijoji, Kishiwada Danjiri, Jidai Matsuri and Chichibu Yomatsuri: autumn festivals in Japan\" href=\"https:\/\/matthmaexperience.com\/en\/?p=3701\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I wrote about them here<\/a>. <\/span><\/p><p>I also recommend that you consider purchasing a <b>Japan Rail Pass<\/b> by checking on one of the many sites available to you to see if it suits your commute. In any case, the Shinkansen allows you to move easily between major cities, but don&#8217;t underestimate the importance of good planning, especially if you want to include less touristy destinations. <\/p><p>Even with &#8220;short&#8221; trips (7-10 days) you can enjoy the wonders of cities such as <b>Tokyo<\/b>, <b>Kyoto<\/b>, <b>Nara<\/b>, <b>Osaka<\/b> and <b>Hiroshima<\/b>, as well as discover destinations less traveled by tourists, but equally fascinating. During my trip, I enjoyed the tranquility of parks such as <b>Ueno Park<\/b> and the <b>Imperial Garden<\/b>, which in October turn spectacular autumn hues. With the mild weather this month, you can walk unhurriedly through iconic neighborhoods like <b>Shibuya<\/b> or visit historic temples like <b>Senso-ji<\/b>. Famous for its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cyk46BjvVnX\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">temples and Zen gardens<\/a>, it is the perfect place for those seeking tranquility and historical beauty. I visited <b>Kiyomizu-dera Temple<\/b>, from which there is a panoramic view of the city, and <b>Fushimi Inari Taisha<\/b>, with its thousands of red torii. October is a great month to discover Kyoto, with its ancient streets of <b>Gion<\/b> and warm autumn colors framing every corner of the city.   <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6d93e7f e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"6d93e7f\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-17012a4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"17012a4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Nara city of sacred deer<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6c61d44 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6c61d44\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>Nara<\/b>, only an hour by train from Kyoto, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cy0zvH1sKrf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">was one of the most serene stops<\/a> on my trip. <b>Nara Park<\/b>, with its sacred deer, is a unique experience. I spent hours walking among the deer and visiting <b>Todai-ji Temple<\/b>, which houses the Great Buddha. October is perfect for Nara: the cool weather makes outdoor exploration enjoyable, and the scenery is lovely with autumn leaves.   <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e5349ff e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"e5349ff\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9bd5a28 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9bd5a28\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Osaka gastronomic heart of Japan<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fb37c8d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fb37c8d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tYou can&#8217;t visit Japan without stopping at  <\/span><b>Osaka<\/b>, the gastronomic capital of the country. During my stay, I tried local specialties such as the   <\/span><b>takoyaki<\/b> and the<\/span><b>okonomiyaki<\/b>, and I was fascinated by the vibrant neighborhood of  <\/span><b>Dotonbori<\/b>. The <b>Peace Park<\/b> and the <b>Peace Museum<\/b> are poignant places that invite reflection. I found <b>Itsukushima Shrine<\/b> on <b>Miyajima<\/b> Island <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CzBg6rbsTpA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a memorable experience<\/a>, especially in
