Liquidum Week – Sharm el-Sheikh

From May 27th to June 3rd, we’ll be setting off for a week entirely dedicated to freediving in the Red Sea, including structured training, theory, and depth exploration. Sharm is one of the most iconic locations for freediving: ideal conditions, clear water, and a high-level setting.

The week in Sharm is a regular event at Liquidum, the freediving school I’ve been working with for years, and I’m happy to take you with me on this experience of pure sport and personal growth.

It will be an intense week, filled with training in the pool and on cables in the sea, but also with exploration. Midweek, we’ll take an excursion to the Red Sea and the creatures that inhabit it, because freediving isn’t just about technique: it’s about connecting with the environment, especially the sea.

Why Sharm

Sharm El Sheikh has been a hub for international freediving for years. Stable seas, incredible visibility, rapid access to depths, and perfect temperatures this time of year.

At the end of May, the weather is warm but not extreme, the sea is generally calm, and the days are long: ideal conditions for working with continuity, motivation, and concentration.

I wrote about it here, during our last experience in Sharm at Freediving World.

Where are we going

We will be guests of the Sharm Club Resort, a structure that directly overlooks the sea and is home to Freediving World.

All in-water activities and theory sessions will take place here. The center is equipped with dedicated cables, boat support, surface safety, and professional technical management. It’s the hub where Liquidum organizes its official freediving week every year.

The entire experience will revolve around this base: comfortable, functional and perfect for maximizing your time at sea.

What will we experience

This week is designed to work on freediving:

  • sea sessions dedicated to constant trim
  • lavoro su respirazione e preparazione mentale
  • work on ventilation and mental preparation
  • direct comparison with instructors and training partners
  • progressive and personalized growth
  • Liquidum social weekend race, a moment of sharing and personal testing

It will be a week of relaxation and real practice.

Program (7 nights - 8 days)

This week we will alternate theory sessions with training in the sea and pool, following a structured program day after day.
