Galapagos Expedition 2027
Nel cuore selvaggio dell’Oceano Pacifico orientale, dall’27 gennaio al 2 Febbraio 2027.
Torniamo alle Galápagos, uno dei luoghi più potenti che abbia mai vissuto in acqua
These islands aren’t just a destination. They’re an isolated, raw ecosystem, still dominated by humans. Here, we’ll enter an environment where marine life reigns supreme, and we are guests.
The expedition follows the itinerary I personally tested with Blue Spirit last year, fine-tuning the pace and choice of sea excursions. A limited number of participants, full days on the boat, actively searching for the archipelago’s most iconic species, always accompanied by Nusy and Carlos, who are the hosts.

Why the Galapagos and why February
February is one of the best times to experience the Galápagos.
The climate is mild, the days are bright, and the weather is pleasant both in the water and on land. But above all, the sea tends to be more manageable: less wind, a calmer surface, ideal conditions for boating and spending many hours on the water.
It will be the right time to find many active species in their natural habitat, with higher quality encounters.
Where are we going:
The base will be in San Cristóbal, one of the central islands of the archipelago, a strategic point for moving towards the most interesting sites.
Nothing is improvised in the Galápagos: the distances are vast, the currents are strong, and the marine life is abundant. That’s why we’ll alternate full days on the boat with recovery and rest periods on land.
The ocean here is alive in every meter of water, even on the small beach in front of the hotel.
What will we experience
The week will be dedicated to snorkeling and seeking authentic encounters.
For us:
- swim with sea lions
- compact and constantly moving schools of fish
- hammerhead sharks in natural habitat but also eagle rays, mobulas, reef sharks
- white lagoons with transparent and populated water
- century-old tortoises in their terrestrial environment
- volcanic seabeds rich of sea life
No technical depth is required, but it is essential to feel comfortable in open water.
Program (6 nights - 7 days)
📍 Day 1 – Arrival and first swim in front of the facility (full of life)
📍 Day 2 – First full-day boat trip, actively searching for marine life to swim with (Kicker Rock and Sardine Bay)
📍 Day 3 – Morning snorkeling (with turtles, rays, and schools of fish). In the afternoon, swimming with sea lions, turtles, rays, and sharks.
📍 Day 4 – Morning SUP activity and diving with sea lions. Half-day island tour: volcanic lake and Galapagos Giant Tortoise Breeding Center.
📍 Day 5 – Full-day boat excursion. Dive into the most crystalline waters you’ve ever seen, with the chance to spot whitetip and blacktip sharks, turtles, rays, and everything else the ocean has to offer.
📍 Day 6 – Last full day on the boat with stops at dive sites, where we’ll spot whitetip, blacktip, Galapagos sharks, and hammerhead sharks, as well as dolphins, sea lions, golden rays, eagle rays, and schools of fish. Farewell dinner.
📍 Day 7 – Option to spend time on the beach or do some shopping before the return flight.
* The program may be subject to change depending on weather and sea conditions.
What to bring
Every day we will spend several hours in the water and to avoid feeling cold I recommend bringing your own equipment:
- wetsuit (3mm one-piece or two-piece)
- mask and snorkel
- long fins
- beach towel (with spare)
- water bottle
- sun cream
If you don’t have equipment, don’t worry, we will provide it for rent at an extra cost.
